Visian ICL
Visian ICL is intended to address nearsightedness and astigmatism. It has proven incredibly effective at correcting severe myopia. It is a wonderful alternative to LASIK for patients who are not ideal candidates due to a large nearsighted correction, dry eyes or thin corneas.
ICL stands for implantable collamer lens. Placed in between your iris and your lens, the Visian ICL is similar to an implantable contact lens. However, collamer is a technologically advanced lens material that is 40% water, soft and 100 percent compatible with your body, eliminating the risk of implant rejection. As an additional bonus, collamer is UV resistant, which may help provide protection against degenerative vision disorders such as cataracts and macular degeneration.
